Hi,
Today I mounted my 9cm station in the feed of the dish at PA3CQE. We will be
qrv on 9cm in the weekend 3 and 4 may. Mainly on 4 may we will be qrv.
Station 3400MHz: 3m dish, 50W @ feed. RA3AQ feed and 0.6db pre-amp. We are
measuring 13.5 db sunnoise and 0.45 db moonnoise now. :)
Initially we were only measuring 9.5db sunnoise and 0.15db moonnoise. But
there seems to be a problem in the connections at the protection coaxrelais
between the feed and pre-amp. We solved this now.
It was the first time I ever measured moonnoise. This is giving a lot of
possibilities in tracking the moon!
I using a funcubedongle at the 144MHz IF and spectravue software in
continuum mode set to 0.1db/div . The works really perfect to measure
moonnoise. (Mni thanks for those advising me on this)
Next weekend I will split the 144MHz IF. One feed for a laptop +
funcubedongle to track the moonnoise and keep the dish at the moon. The
other feed from the splitter to another laptop + sdr running linrad as main
receiver.
CU next weekend

It may be possible to make use of the channel 11 or 12 transmit
amplifiers on the 222 MHz band.
Many such similar amplifiers made by Canadian Larcan are in use by hams
here in the USA, for instance.

Sunday if the WX holds. we have a 1296 sked with K2UYH at 1230z. It's cold

Greetings
I am building a 144 MHz 8877 amp/power supply and the delay relay in my
step-start is defective. I have taken the relay apart and it has a couple
devices I cannot identify. I have all the details here:
http://kl6m.com/relay/TimeDelayRelay.htm
I have the amp/power supply almost all finished, ready to test except for
this.
Any help is appreciated.

I may have found a 12 ft dish, and along with that I've been asked if
I'm interested in C band LNAs and a dead Aydin 700W TWTA. Plus some
channel 11 and 12 analog TV transmitters. Anything I don't pick up is
going to e-waste. Other than the dish, which I'm happy to take, is
there any value (parts or projects) in the other things?
