helloo
got a question here and its been in my mind to get back on 70cm, so ill
begin to ask around what ideas been goin on now days with yagies..
due the spacelimit with stacking long yagies for 70cm ive been playin with
the idea abit to add 70cm on the 2m booms as its on YU1CF design
https://www.antennas-amplifiers.com/image/catalog/-antennas/144MHz-432MHz/3…
.
question there will be how would it would effect 2m or 70cm, or can i go
for it? and would i have to change any on the main 2m as i got now.
on 2m now i got 4 x 15el g4cqm wich im happy with
so how does it look out there in world. have anyone gone for this to add on
orginal 2m yagies and then added later on 70cm on sam boom and whats been
the result
and what did it loose or changed?
tnx for any reply or ideas.

Tomorrow I'll take a flyer down to DN44lw and put Wyoming to try and get
G3LTF his 49th State on CW 70cm EME before the weather goes downhill. We'll
be running a sked from 2000Z to 2100Z.
Upon completion or @ 2100Z I'll call CQ on CW for a bit before switching
over to JT65b and calling CQ again before I pack for home. I'm not in a
hurry to leave if there is interest.

I was active for the contest and worked 44. There were many weak stations heard with my 3.7 meter dish, but I agree with PA3DZL's comments. I would like to add please slow down your sending speed as well. With my small dish signals just run together with high speed CW. This applies to only a few and I won't name them, but this isn't a race. Also, please add a little extra spacing between your call when someone QRZ's you. That makes it much easier to tell where your call starts and stops.
I hope to be active for the 6 CM segment of the contest, but the noise and QRM level has risen to the point where contacts on this band are impossible with all but the strongest stations.

How many are using the built in TX delay on the 9700 with an amplifier? Beko
specs all their relay switching to be done in 30ms. do I trust that?
Or are you all using an external sequencer?

Hello EME community
Happy to be back on 23cm EME after 3 years QRT. Saterday rain most of the day but still a lot of stations wkd. Sunday good wx and also good cnds.
Worked 51 QSO on CW. Heard another 10 stations. Not QRV entire moon window.
Equipment:
4 m solid dish, G4DDK, OK1DCF with scalar rings, and 200W at feedpoint. CU off the moon on 144/1296/10368MHz

It was such a pleasure to be back on EME again. We had a lot of rain but very little wind and the gear all worked fb.
I worked 72 in total, all random, including 2 ssb. List will be in next NL. This is my highest ever score for this contest. Great to add DU as #78 dxcc
Stations called with no reply (cwnr) CT1FGW, YO2BCT, RA4HL, IK3GHY, VK4AFL, DJ7FJ, KN0WS and heard AA4MD, IK2MMB,DL7UMA
Two operating points. I think that you need some sort of frequency display, to catch people calling off frequency ( a smart move in a pile up anyway) and to catch people tailending you when its NOT your frequency, and to spot the really weak ones. There are also stations where the LO shifts between tx and rx, (not uncommon in HB systems, been there) and they end up off frequency.
Second point is that I now have this lovely TS590SG with excellent DSP down to 50Hz and 1 Hz RIT but I still find an additional improvement in very weak signal readability when I add my old tuneable switched capacitor MF8 filter set to 50Hz, I suspect it maybe a passband shape effect. ( PA2DW, Dick, yes you were the weakest)
Thanks to everyone for the great QSOs and nice comments. I can be QRV until the moon gets down to about –12degrees declination if anyone wants a test.

Hello all EME folks,
Good activity under the contest and fun. I had some small issues in the PA
in the beginning. The W6PQL switch used for bias did stop working sometimes
with result no power out so lost some hours replacing it with a relay. The
weather on Saturday was not optimal for 23 cm eme with rain almost all day
and conditions seemed a little better on Sunday.
I worked 50 QSO. 49 CW and 1 SSB. Stations copied with strong signals but
no QSO JF3HUC and VE6TA.
My Rig: 3.8 m dish, 450W at feed

Hi all eme fans
Thanks for a very nice weekend.
I just change to new feed with septum and it works great, I think. But not optimized yet…..
As I am not ready with the “elevator” for the dish I can only work between 10 and 30 degree of elevation, that limited my qrv time a lot. Activ only 11 hours.
I think condition was very, very good and has big own echo , also I SSB.
Worked 64 station random on CW and one SSB qso.
Thanks again and take care of You and watch out of Covid.
