I just smoked another SGTF1038A Motorola 900MHz amp. I only applied
26v, no drive, no bias. It smoked the control board. Actually burst
into flames.
I do have one that works; physically appears identical to the burned
one. It performed the following:
125 watts output
26v @ 17A
9.5 watts input
Only 29% efficient and took more drive than most documents have
indicated.
I have now blown two of those control boards and have not figured out
why. Visual inspection is a burned trace out of one of the regulators.
Same failure on both.
Right now I just plan to operate the upcoming 33cm EME activity with
125w unless I find time later to dig into these.

Hi Bill
20 years ago I used moon Keplarian data in a TAPR TrakBox to track the
moon for EME. I knew I had info on 2-line moon keps SOMEWHERE, so I
went on a mission to find it. I finally found it on an old desktop with
Win98. I could not get any of the drives to work to copy the info but
finally got it written to a CD.
So I put the whole directory on the web at
https://alaska.net/~ptt/Trakbox/TrakBox/ There is a lot of stuff
there that is not applicable.
There is a exe that will update and write the 2-line data. I could not
get it to run on Win10. I think it requires an older operating system.
I actually got it to run on Win98 but could not figure out where it was
writing the files.
Good luck. Please let me know if you get it to work.
Thanks

Satellite trackers are using them however and need to update them periodically. My Raztrak program does not use Kepler elements to calculate moon/sun, planets, or celestial objects. I do use gpredict data for satellite tracking which does use Kepler elements however.

This list and one for 432 and one for 1296 (promissed for someone) will be
all i will make. Once again… " no good deed goes unpunished". My life is
too short now with this Leukemia, and i need to rest in peace with little
grief. Besides several have expressed interest in designs, data and
material to build them for the ham community… so they will continue.

I have been trying to work HI8DL for the last 6month on JT65B no success .
Today using Q65A we FINALLY completed. Q65A decoded at -32db & he copied me
-26db. I am totally convinced than Q65A is more sensitive than JT65B. I have
never decoded a station at -32db on JT65
I only wish more people start using Q65A. I am very pleased. Thank you Joe &
the team. Great job
