Roger I will e-mail some pictures to your Verizon account of my Q5 with dual receivers. Interfaces great to a K3.

I'm in search of a high quality 2 meter transverter such as from
Q5 Signal, Kuhne or ???
I'm trying to simplify my station having just one radio for 2 to
160 meters with a transverter instead of using the TS-2000 which
is a perfectly fine radio yet just one more piece of gear. Yes, I
know I'm not reducing the number of "boxes" but I want to reduce
complexity of two radios with soundcards and multiple instances of
WSJT-X running.
Ideally the transverter is the newer Q5 with split transmit and
receive and high stability TCXO. The same goes for the Kuhne or
whatever,
Let me know what you may have to nj2r(a)verizon.net

The coming weekend 28th ?29th August is the 6cm Activity Weekend.
The idea of the Activity Weekends is to get all those with capability on a specific MW band to come on and make QSOs, run tests for those needing signals, test new feeds, preamps etc. No pressure, no scoring, use the reflector, use any mode, just be active on the band and make QSOs.
I plan to be QRV with 40W and 6m dish. Weather in W Europe looks pretty good.

Hi folks,
Trying a very lightweight "prototype" N2UO feed on 1296 mhz made from 0.5
mm sheet aluminum and rivets. No welding or soldering. The septum is 1 mm
aluminum. See attached photo. Many thanks to Frank at rfhamdesign, com
for making me a custom mount.
So far results look good with 7 dB cold sky to sun with a 1.9m dish. This
is the same as my RA3AQ (2008) feed. But actual EME performance looks
better (TBD).
Aluminum tape on every seam made no difference to the sun to cold sky.
Next up is a fully welded version with very precise dimensions to compare
performance.
