I couple of times I had success with placing a washer on the opposite side of the chassis
lip from the pemnut then using a stainless cap screw I inserted it into the threads
drawing it tightly against the washer. This effectively "set" the nut in the
aluminum lip. Then back out the cap screw and you should be "set" if you can
pardon the pun!
