OK I made some correction on the setting of Q65A for 144Mhz thanks to Joe &
Lance input. Now if I go to JT65B I probably will have to re adjust the
settings for the wide graph & also the settings for JT65B or do I????? or I
could download WSJTX again & put in in another folder & call it WSJTX/Q65A.
Your suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi Serge:
Important (as Joe advised) in Q65 is to select “Q65 Sync” subtrace at the bottom of the
wide graph. After each RX perid, that option will show you the location of signals that
are too weak to show a good sync line on the wide graph. You will see a peak in the
orange trace at the bottom of the wide graph. These are potential Q65 signals.
Double click on the wide graph above the Q65_Sync peak and that will generate a new decode
sequence at the offset. Presto! You’ll often have a decode when you cannot even see the
sync trace.

Hi Serge,
I would think that you could save your Q65 and JT65 settings
under separate configurations using the Configuration tab at the top of the
screen. Just a thought.

Hello EMErs....
All of this JT65 vs Q65 discussion raised a question...seems like the Delta
44 is the preferred sound card but win 10 compatibility is an issue.
I'm wondering if anyone has done any testing on external audio interfaces
(USB interconnect) and what have you found to be the best for EME use
particularly JT65B. I do not use MAP 65 so just the SSB bandwidth is all I
require.

The Delta44 driver for 32 bit WinXP can be installed under the
32 bit version of Win10 by running the installer in XP compatility
mode. It works properly sometimes. Below is part of my posting on the

The "B" problem may also be caused by soundcard errors. As far as
I know, the only reliable driver for the Delta44 is the Win XP 32 bit
driver. It is fine under Win XP 32 bit, and once I was running it
sucessfully under 32-bit Windows 10 installed in compatibility mode.
(I have not been able to reproduce that.) All other combinations
of Windows versions and Delta44 drivers cause glitches and surely
they constitute errors that may degrade detection. There are many
other soundcards than the Delta 44. Dynamic range would be a bit lower
for the visible range (±45 kHz) but the wide range dynamic range would
not be affected.
