Gentleman, I'm just upgrading one of my Elecraft K3 with the new KIO3B board which is part of the newer K3S. The KIO3B has a sound device on board and I wonder if anyone in the group has ever tried this sound device running WSJT off the moon. It's a rather cheap device based on PCM2901 <<http://www.ti.com/product/PCM2901>>. Specs show that this device has rather poor frequency response, dynamic range, THD+N, S/N ratio etc., just pure consumer stuff. Does this or will it in any case reduce overall system performance? If not it will makes things much easier with cabeling, external sound devices (Focusrite Scarlett), PTT stuff etc. at our upcoming DXpedition to DU (DX7EME).
